So I did use the search function, but when you put snap on and tool box in the same search it would be weeks before you went thru all the posts.
I have a 4 drawer snap on lower box that has round corners and is bolted together instead of spot welded. It has metal casters and the large fold down door under the drawers. Just wondering it's age? Is it Snap On? I bought it about 10 years ago with a upper box at a farm auction and just curious about it. I wouldn't think Snap on would have bolted any box together. Pics are attached I hope.

Look on the back of the box for something like this.
KRA-59 (model #)
SNAP-ON TOOLS CORP.
KENOSHA,WIS. USA 72 (72 is the year of mfg)
XXXXXXXXX (serial number)

This box is older than others who have serial numbers. I would suggest going to collectingsnapon.com and search the 1950's catalogs.

Thanks for the snap on collectors link, I would not have thought the box could be that old. To bad some of my Craftsman boxes don't work as well as the old Snap On still does.

Could be all the spot welders were being requisitioned for the war effort which was ramping up about then.
