You used to be able to find these on a card at the HF "impulse buy" racks at the registers. Now, I'm struggling to find replacements.

This isn't a wire wheel or a wire cup brush but rather just a "straight" brush.

Anyone got suggestions for a source? Preferably several different sizes

I have used 6 and 4 gauge battery cable. 3” piece, strip 3/4 “ for the working end and chuck it. Works great for clean up & polishing. Might explore multi strand cable for more aggressive work.image.jpg

I'm on my phone so pics aren't that clear but I bought this bore brush set off amazon and like it. I use it for cleaning brake caliper slide pin holes and other stuff. Not sure if it's what you're looking for or not.

Damn I like that kit. May pick it up.

Still, I'm trying to clean welds between tightly spaced pipes. I often need the face, not just the periphery. I found some of what I kinda want on Amazon, but you've gotta buy them with a bunch of extra styles I don't really need.

Bore brush stuff is still available at HF. I recently saw 'bore brushes' in the brush section (hand powered, cut off the end and chuck it in a drill cruck if you want) and in the 'engine tools' section (kind of like the Amazon set that signcrafter linked to).

Check on-line to see what options they still have and if those will still meet your needs.

Or a straight brush for use in a 1/4" die grinder.

That’s not bad at all.

That bore brush set on Amazon is the cat's ***. For the money, you get all sizes in 3 materials. When they are done, throw them away and buy more just like all consumables.

That's one of the best ideas I've seen in a while.

Home depot has one like you're looking for. I used to have one with a hex shaft which was awesome because I could spin it really fast in the impact driver but the ones they have now just have a 1/4" round shaft.

Avanti Pro 3/4 in. End Wire Brush
SKU# 202831064

I agree it can't be beat for dressing fillet welds.
