Rounded out nut driver

I have this really old Craftsman 1/4 nut driver that a dear friend gave me, but now it's completely round out and doesn't do anything now. I know I can simply purchase a new one, but it has sentimental value. Any ideas on how I can revive it again? Thanks

Dejavu.... I swear I saw this same question on reddit.

If it's completely rounded out, it lived a hard life and or it wasn't very good quality. Not what you want to hear but not worth trying to fix it. If it has sentimental value, keep it, but your better off buying a new one if you want a functional one & one that won't risk damaging fasteners.

I have tools that have sentimental value so I keep them but I don't use them cause some of them aren't worth using.

I wouldn't toss it or try to fix it.
I'd warranty it. They will replace it with a new one.

Grind it pointy for an awl or ice pick?
Points for upcycling, but nutdrivers have hollow centers. I've been known to re-use screwdrivers as seal picks, but I made my ice pick from a titanium rod (still in a screwdriver handle), so I don't have to worry about rust.

I currently use a scrap nutdriver as a handle on a long hook to retrieve hats from a rack up by the ceiling. The hollow shaft made it easy to shove a wire in there with some glue (my use case doesn't need to lift anything truly heavy).

I have a number of tools, hunting items, etc. that live quietly on a shelf or in a drawer strictly as reminders of friends, hunts, events, and things gone by. Retire it and enjoy it when you see it.
