Rousseau cabinet caster questions

Picked up a Rousseau cabinet locally and wanted to put casters on it since it seem to have the provision to do so. However it looks like the craziest setup on the bottom. Cannot make sense how they bolt a set of casters on these unless they are a Rousseau specific setup. Anyone have any ideas?

The measurements for the inside holes for a caster plate based on the 90 degree inserts is 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" inside and the outside holes are 3-1/8" x 3-1/8", which does not seem to match up with anything I can find online. There are 4 threaded holes that does seem to go through bottom support ribs, which might be for a caster, but hard to say.

I might have to hit up a US Rousseau distributor for the wheels, but curious if anyone has a clue what one of these boxes looks like with casters on bottom.

Those are probably designed for rails to go front-to-back instead of casters.

A drill and either rivnuts or nuts and bolts?

I think youre making a mistake, a Rousseau is akin to a Vidmar or Lista and the cabinet can get to 1200 lbs in a couple of hours.

If you really want to go that way I'd setup a low rider (drop deck) mobile base like you'd have for a woodworking machine.

Or something like 3/8" x 4 flat steel bar to make an adapter plate.

You can get a base with openings for forklift use like toolpolisher stated. Maybe that's what the spacing is for.

If you have space around it, a Bora Portamate would make it mobile and lockable in position.

If you show the front it will be easier to comment on what you have.

Likely the most you will load is 800lbs maximum in the cabinet. On Vidmars, they have fairly large frame holes like your cabinet. I used very large washers internally and externally (like 2-1/2" diameter) to reinforce the area, through which I used threaded casters, hardest part was tightening the caster nut. The casters I used were rated 1000lbs per caster made from fiberglass reinforced nylon sold by Apollo caster, they were about $20 a piece but most of my cabinets are 60" high so much more weight .
I definitely need my cabinets to be mobile, but remember they can tip over if multiple drawers are open at the same time. To help alleviate the possibility, I was given 1" by 8" by 2' steel plates (about 40lbs), and I place one in the bottom back of each cabinet. Tip overs are not pretty and dangerous, especially around children.

Turns out there is an upper plate that is like a huge washer to fill in the two blank areas and allow this cabinet to have casters. Kinda weird setup, but now I know what is needed. Thanks everyone for their ideas and help to get this thing on wheels.
