I know that alot of people on this forum buy the Lista brand cabinets. I was just wondering if anyone has used the Rousseau brand cabinets, or checked the pricing on them in comparison to Lista. I have been able to buy many different types of this brand cabinet through my work. They are very nice, but I was just wondering how they compare to the Lista brand. Also thought that it might be of help for anyone looking for caibnets in the future.
Here is a link to their website.

No, I do not have any affiliation with Rousseau. :)
Thanks, Chad.

Canadian.

Found a bunch of them used in Canada, about the same price as Lista and equivalent cabinets. High quality, high end application where heavy loads and heavy use is present.

I've looked at a lot of different cabinets over the years and keep coming back to Lista for quality and value. I think Lista offers the most accessories when it comes to setting up the drawer interiors...see http://www.ultimategarage.com/storage/mw900-fac1.htm .

I looked at Moduline recently as the cabinets look great and they offer a nice tall storage locker unit not available through Lista. Unfortunately, the cost of Moduline was more and the company charges you for a lot of items (locks, drawer backs, etc) that come standard with others.

enginerd- I am not sure if your question was directed toward me or carguy123. I am currently not looking for anything, I have been able to buy several cabinets from my work, at an extremely affordable price.

Old thread, but may as well use it:
At work, we build some oil handling carts, and we had a customer who didn't care for the Weatherguard drawers we provided on his carts. It's what we usually use, but I will admit that they are at best, usable storage. We upgraded him to rousseau cabinets. Wow! This is the first I have dealt with this brand, and I love them! The are built way heavy, and the drawers are silky smooth in and out. I knew they would be better than say Craftsman, but not this much better! Really nice. I think I hugged them. I'm not sure.

I have access to all the major brands of modular drawer cabinet manufacturers. The biggest thing that stands out for me is that Lista offers a Lifetime warranty on their cabinets not just certain components. (Note that Stanley Vidmar also offers lifetime warranty to original purchaser.)

Lista and Stanley Vidmar have the majority of market share. One feature also is that Lista's drawers are recessed when the drawer is shut. And, for me being a "lefty" the fact that the lock core is centered on the cabinet is important.

If anyone has any specific questions, I'll be more than happy to help. As far as price, Lista, Vidmar, and Rousseau are all within 5-10% of each other for list pricing.

I purchased two Rousseau Cabinets to be used in the Automotive and Machine Shops of our local High School. They easily carry the 400 lb rating per drawer and have been doing so for more than 15 years. They are a dream to work with.
