Looking to get a 54" rolling tool box (specifically the R5GJE-3805) I see a few people here talking about their parts cabinets and such, but not the rolling shop boxes? Is there something driving folks away, or are they just a dark horse for this application?

I think they're just not common enough for there to really be any discussion here on them

I believe I saw them at Good Guys Scottsdale.

Seemed nice. They were showing off some good sized 54"(?)+ width and deep models if I remember correctly. I don't believe the prices I overheard were going to make them really competitive on price point.

They are very good boxes, built as industrial cabinets. They have very little bling or *** appeal unlike the truck brands. Add in that they can get pretty expensive for the size, very few know about them (poor resale value), you don't see them much outside of manufacturing or heavy industry.

Storloc is another. I'd put Rousseau slightly above storloc though.

Unless your getting a good price why buy it. They are excellent cabinets but not well known, making them more difficult to re-sell, commanding a lower resale price; basically Lista, Vidmar and Rousseau are clones, same specs. In the US there is no reason not to buy Lista or Vidmar, Lista being the most recognized with the highest resale value/support. Also both are common on Ebay or the Internet for parts/accessories.

I have a couple old Rousseau cabinets in my garage. No complaints with them at all. Same quality as Vidmar or Lista.
