Router newbie question fixed base and plunge

Yea...put a different base on it, a plunge base. I bought a router that came with a fixed and a plunge. Best of both worlds. Is there a different base that would fit it...that would be a question for Craftsman.

Some newer routers come with three bases, fixed, plunge & D-handle. Depending on how old yours is you may be able to find a base on ebay.

Along with a different base keep your eyes open on CL for a used router table set-up making it easier to do different projects. You can always buy a universal base to use on most router tables.
