Roxul vs Pink fiberglas

Just wondering what you guys think the better insulation for my new garage addition is. I hear the roxul is much better but thats just by the flyers Ive read. Anyone have any input on these insulations?

I use Roxul only as it is not supposed to burn.It isnt as itchy as the pink stuff also.

I had a little fire in my shed once and as soon as it hit the Roxul it was out,have used nothing else since.

Roxul is a niche product that osts more than typical batt insul. It's more of a question of what do you want over whichis better. Are you going for more r-value or fire protection?
If it's R-value, they are soemwht on par with each other, Extruded polystyrene insulation i.e. Celfort is a better insulator than any type of fibreglass/rockwool.
Sprayed polyurethane foam is just about as good as it gets. You won't like the price though.

yeah, my builder says he really pushes to only do the spray in stuff but that it's 3 times the price and worth every bit of it.

Here is an interesting little known fact...."fiberglass insulation loses as much as 40% of its insulating capacity when outside temperatures fall below 20°F. When this happens, an R-13 fiberglass insulated wall performs as if it were only R-7.5. Through a Canadian study, LEEDS concluded that fiberglass loses half of its R-value when outside temps sink to 0°F"....the best insulation at a reasonable price is compressed cellulose or sprayed in cellulose

"Cellulose insulation, made of recycled paper products, is denser than fiberglass, and therefore blocks sound and seals air gaps more effectively"
