I wanted to add that I recently ordered from RoyalSupply.com and had my credit card information stolen. I believe that website is just a front for credit card theft/fraud. I noticed something strange when the checkout screen said my debit card information was invalid - which prompted me to put in my Discover card information. The card went through the second time around. The very next day I found a series of charges on those two cards for Skype and other Misc charges - they were international charges too so there were fees that accrued from that. I normally NEVER order online.. so when I isolated down all the possibilities I knew it was because of this website.
Also it took over 2 weeks for my part to arrive - abnormally long for a company that is located in the US.
I suggest that noone use this website for any future purchases... and if you can spread the word by reporting them onto BBB or fraud/scam reporting sites I would. I read earlier that they were going through a "hacking" problem but they have resolved it and now it is safe to purchase from their website- who's to say that that isnt just a lie they tell people so it makes people feel safe and return to the same trap?
I see this forum thread started in August. Well I made this purchase early October so whatever "resolved hacking matter" that Royalsupply claims is just B.S. because it STILL HAPPENED.

First I would like to state that Royal Supply is a legitimate company that has provided Industrial and Hydraulic Supplies to the Greater Cleveland Ohio area since 1893 and has been an online e-commerce supplier since June of 2007. We have been a supplier of Wright Tool products for over 20 years.

Here are a few facts about royalsupply.com and credit card security:
1. royalsupply.com security has never been comprimised, had malware, viruses, malicious code or scripts of any kind, and we have never stated anything contridictory to this anywhere.
2. Credit Card numbers are not stored on our server. We use a SSL (through geotrust) and Authorize.net, one of the world's largest Payment Gateways, when a credit card is put through our website. The charge is immediate and no Credit Card numbers, experation dates, cvv codes, etc are stored on our server. Please note that when entering any credit card information on our website or any other website that you see the security lock in the top of your browser next to the web link, indicating that you are using a secure link(the link should always start with https and not http). In Internet explorer and google chrome, they show a padlock that is locked. In Mozilla Firefox royalsupply.com will show up highlighted before you see the full weblink. When you click on the padlock or highlighted portion, it will give you the security information for royalsupply.com or the site you are visiting. If you do not see the padlock or highlighted portion when entering credit card information, then DO NOT put in your credit card information.
3. We also offer PayPal. (For those of you who feel it is a safer choice)
4. We have had numerous scans on our website for Malware, Viruses, and Security threats from our hosting provider and scans have ALWAYS come back clean of Malware, Viruses, and malicious code. All of our website files have also been scanned by our shopping cart software company and they reported no findings of any corrupted or comprimised files, scripts, code, etc. Our site has also been scanned by McAfee Securesite and has always comeback secure and is PCI Compliant.
5. Thousands of orders have been placed in the past 4 years of being an online e-commerce website and this is the only site which posts any problems with credit card theft on our website. If there ever was a problem then we would have hundreds to thousands of people claiming to have their credit cards stolen and numerous posts, forums, blogs, etc. stating credit card problems over the past 4 years.
We are inviting the executive management of Wright Tool into out facility to demonstrate our backend E-commerce process and security measures that we have stated in the above points. The majority of security issues and idententiy theft happens on the users computer due to malware, keyloggers, trojan viruses, rootkits, etc.
Not all Keyloggers, rootkits and malware can be detected and removed by one or two anti-spyware or antivirus software programs. Please see the links below for more information regarding a complete removal of most malware, viruses, keyloggers and rootkits, along with some helpful information on keyloggers (the most common way identity theft happens online).

Here are some signs that your computer has a keylogger:
1. Network activity even if you are not accessing the network. This happens when the keylogger attempts to send the captured data through the Internet.

Does payment information for Royal Supply credit card orders get handled by a third party web hosting service?
Would it be possible to put a test "honey pot" order through the system to see if someone tries to use the credit card number such as to trace that person/internet address?

We do not use a third party web hosting site, we use a payment gateway, that is what Authorize.net is. In order to process credit cards using a payment gateway you are required to use a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) that is 128bit encrypted. We use GeoTrust as our SSL. I do have to point out that PayPal (which we do offer) is a third party web hosting site that processes payments, but when you choose PayPal, you pay them and then they pay us. Some websites that do not have integrated payment gateways use third party web hosting solutions, usually through their credit and check processing merchant to process credit cards, but we do not.
