Rubber airline keeps "popping"

Got two different 50ft rubber hoses that keep developing small "pimples" in the outer layer of the rubber. Then it will "pop" and have an air leak there. Is there a better hose or something to do to keep it from doing it? I am running a die grinder and getting a lot of water through the line. Could this be a problem? If so what can I do to keep water out of the line?

or go to a hydraulic/pneumatic hose place and have them made from industrial red rubber hose in 1/2inch with full 3/8 fittings crimped on.
I did this about 35 years ago on a 50 ft and 30 ft
I still have and use both. But they are too thick to use on auto reels so I use the Goodyear
with that.

Quality over quantity.

Yep. Are they PVC hoses by chance, and not rubber. I've had those fail like this much more than quality rubber hoses like Goodyear.

Do you have oil inside your lines (like from a lubricator, or a compressor with bad rings)? That could deteriorate cheap rubber hoses more quickly.

No these are rubber. I have the nice metal retractable reel from tractor supply. It popped and I had a hose place crimp a new end on and a few months later it done it again. So I bought a new rubber hose from harbor freight. Looks identical to the one from tractor supply. I'm going to pick up a Goodyear hose from harbor freight. If it will fit on the reel lol

Cheap Chinese hose, I had one like that. I bought a second one and didn't even use the hose, just replaced it with a black Goodyear. Decent reel, **** hose.

I agree with dynahoe spend the money on a flexilla and never look back.

As for getting the water out, you will need to put either an after cooler on the compressor or some sort of metal, copper, aluminum pipping on it before the reel with a drain. I am assuming you are going right from the tank to the reel. You only need ten feet or so of the "hardline" that will condense the moisture out pretty well. You could try water separator right before the tool, but in my experience the air is condensing in the tool. Search around here for aftercooler and you will see some interesting builds. You do not have to spend a lot of money to get really good results.
