Hey guys,

Surprisingly I'm not finding all that many threads about top draft stop on roll up steel doors. There were a few so I knew ahead of time that I'd need to deal with this. But can't find much with people talking about too many solutions.

The three main options I'm finding are:
(1) brushes

(2) rubber flap that screws to the header

(3) rubber flappy thing that screws to the DOOR

Curious if any of you have experience with any of these or or other options to consider.

Yes that is one of the only threads I've been able to find. Good info there. Good point about the rubber flap type at the header rubbing all the way up and down. I was leaning toward the rubber flap but now I may go for the type that attaches and rolls up in the door at the top. Then maybe brushes on the sides. Perhaps put a brush at the top as well. Hmm.

I was hoping to hear from more people who have any of the three off-the-shelf types to see what they thought of them.

Have not been able to find a lot of sources for off the shelf solutions. I've decided to order brushes from American Garage Door..... going to cost me $220 with shipping and over-length handling charges to put these on the door.

I got the "pro-seal" polypropylene versions rather than the nylon.

Somewhat tempted to ALSO get the rubber flap that attaches to the door for top seal. Anyone have this? How does it attach to the door? Super high strength double stick tape? At $4/ft this is a pretty inexpensive option for the top. Well, the base cost of the brush seal was only $20 more (3in holder + 2in brush, 10ft) but shipping takes it up along with $8 extra long package fee.
