i need a piece of rubber, idea would be couple inches wide, and 15' long but it can be in pieces. doesnt have to be thick, maybe 1/8 to 1/4 at most

what it is, I got two metal roofs, of two different structure, with a transition metal piece connection both roofs for rainfall. since both move different i did not want the transition metal piece to rub a hole trough the lower roof, so instead of screw tight i was going put a piece of rubber under one edge and just let it move

so question is, where could a buy something like this

Bicycle inner tube if all else fails.
Two of them should do.
Cut and split.
5 bucks at Walmart.

Your local construction material supply house could set you up in a heart beat. Rubber roofing would most likely fill the bill. A place like ABC Supply or B&L Wholesale or any of the major roofing supply companies could offer a solution that would work.

I have a rubber roof on my back porch. I grabbed the cutoff scraps when the roofers were done, and that stuff is handy for all sorts of things - making gaskets, pads for screw clamps on metal, and so on. The rubber I have is maybe 1/16" thick but you could double it up, and probably glue the pieces together with rubber cement if necessary.

The point is, hit up any roofers you know locally, and they can probably give you a scrap that will do the job.

I agree with a strip of commercial rubber roofing. You could buy some or stop at a large commercial roof job and ask for scraps. One of the workers will probably give you some for some beer money.

A good building supply center will sell bitumen tape used for sealing foundations, building envelopes, and roofs.

Inner tube rubber will crack and perish when exposed to the elements. Use a product that's designed to live outside and deal with rain.

I bought this product when rebuilding my deck to seal the transition between deck and siding:

This product is only available in Canada but I'm certain your local construction industry has need for "a roll of sticky roofing stuff" that you can buy.

BB, does Sikaflex work for filling a rough edge joint? The idiots that did my slab cut it too soon and the edges of the cuts tore out as they went. Did they stop? Hell no, they're finishers.
