Running 240 for garage heater

The heater I'm buying calls for 10/2 grounded wire. If I need to pull 75' should I bump up to 8/2? It's a 5000watt farenheat.

For heaters the wire/circuit is limited to 24 amps (80% of circuit capacity) and a 5000 watt heater draws less than 21 amps, so you are not even fully loading the circuit to the NEC limit, much less to the 30 amps the circuit is fully rated for.

Thanks for all the help. I actually have a 8/3 wire that is ran about halfway (terminated in a wall where only the box is accessible) I used to be for a stove long before I lived here. I was hoping to just continue with the 8/3 so I didn't have to pull as much wire. Problem is the sniped the wire at the panel end just enough to make it too short.

Even though this will appear to be unprofessional looking work you can use wirenuts to splice on to the ends in the panel to reach a breaker. If you extend and or splice the wire with #10 even though some of the run is #8 the max breaker is to be a 30A. Splicing in the panel with wirenuts is permitted by the NEC.
