Can I run bx cable inside kitchen base cabinets? I'm trying to bring an outlet to the back of a kitchen peninsula so when I'm sitting there, I can plug into an outlet. Cell phone, laptop, etc.

The alternative is to use conduit and stranded wire inside the kitchen cabinets.

I'm in Brooklyn, NYC.

Don't see why not -- have it in my NYC kitchen cabinets. You can also use romex in many situations -- I have it running under the base cabinets in my new builds. Where it had to come up through a big cabinet they covered it with a plastic channel.

It’s proper BX, metal shield, 2 wires. I ran out of mc for this last little run and used some old BX. Im going to put a junction box where it runs into the cabinet from the wall, and then run Romex and use a plastic shield over the romex.
