you cannot run power to a regulator splitter like u showed us earlier.

not to mention the ace splitter you used i doubt will actually carry a digital signal.

first un plug the power port and see if it works.

this is the kind of splitter that needs power they are all pretty large

you are tapped into a power feeding run, ****** cable guy did not remove the splitter. Somewhere in your house (maybe behind tv, or at the D-Mark) there is an amp, you need to remove the splitter and barrel it*, and extend/pull back the garage feed to where that amp is. you are splitting power, hopefully no damage has been done to your new tv

Edit: *Barrel the power that is.

I really feel like this may be the ticket.

this is your first problem you cant run power into a normal splitter like that.

you need to use a powered amp like i posted above.

i have a feeling that you tapped the amp power line that the technician ran to a powered amp that you dont know of.

and in that process the power is back feeding into the amp like normal but your trying to get signal off the same line and you cannot if that is the line for power it will never have the tv signal your looking for.

I hear you but I take no credit. This was the cable techs work.

1. Went under house and took the splitter out of the line to the amp.
2. Opened the two outside boxes-one had the amp, other had two 4 way splitters.

3. Found a line that currently wasn't providing signal to a tv and used that outport.

Good call Motofool!

Not bashing, but I thought this was funny.."there are 3 possibilities, too much signal, too little signal, or improper wiring/connection broken "

Yeah, I totally agree, like I said , not bashing at all, I know nothing about this stuff.

Im sure it sounded better in his head than it does in text.

its like saying "it doesn't work because something is wrong".:lol_hitti
