Running dimmable LED On same line as ceiling fan

I installed a ceiling fan a year ago in my bedroom. The model has a dimmable LED light and a fan. The room is a little dark with only that one light. Can I hook up two separate LED lights with the hot connection in the ceiling? I’d prefer not to route new wiring down the wall. Running wires in my ceiling is pretty easy (5” drop off the joists).

The manufacturer tech support has no idea if this will work or not.

You need to know what the max load rating of the dimmer is.

Any brand and model numbers that you can provide?

Also, do you have 2 hots going to the ceiling fan j box?

90% yes it will work. Most ceiling fan controllers can handle at least 100 or 150 watts of lighting, I doubt you'll need more than 30W if you're doing all LED.

It depends if the fan controller is built into the fan or if its an external control box. You'll have to dismount the fan to find out probably.
