Running gas line

I picked up a Beacon Morris 45k BTU hanging heater from Menards Saturday (on sale for $399). I currently have a gas line stubbed out of my wall about 4 feet off the ground directly below where my heater will hang. I will run 1/2" gas line straight up the wall with 2 shut offs, one down low and one up high near the heater. The heater will be mounted about 14' off the ground. My question is where should I put the drip leg, where the gas stubs out of the wall, nearest the heater, both?

If your within four feet of the unit I would put a tee at the wall penetration and put the drip leg there. Why 2 valve`s? Thinking ahead for another take off or just personal preference?

Taking a wild guess here that bojans wants to have the ability to shut off gas without climbing a ladder to reach the shutoff near heater in 14' ceiling.

You got it Royalton, don't want to pull out the big ladder to turn the gas off at the end of the season.

I have one right before the heater.

put one right at the heater and it also won't hurt to have one at the wall where you come in before you shoot up 14'.
