my plan is to run yellow ips line 1 1/4" i.d. from the meter to the shop 125'. i'm runnng it in conduit. just being extra cautious. ips is not supposed to be in the building i understand, so can i use a transition and connect a length of csst for the last 10 feet to actually come into the building. where is the best place to order the ips, transitions, and risers.

I just ran 175' of 1-1/4 ips. From my house to my pole barn. From what I've been told you CAN NOT run gas pipe in conduit that comes up out of the ground. I brought mine up outside the barn then will go through the wall into the barn.

Most distributors will not sell natural gas line to an individual, it must be purchased by an established installer. EXCEPT- I purchased my line from Zoro Tools with no problems what so ever. http://www.zoro.com
They also have all the fittings needed to adapt to black pipe.

I can't imagine it would be worth the shipping costs. This is what I have left over and the rolls are big an awkward.
