Getting ready to start pad work on pole building slab. I am installing rough in bathroom. I then will being installing pex etc. Wondering about pex being run under showerstall area in slab. Is this ok? Thought about condensation issues under it? Also how far away from toilet flange should lines be. Hope this makes sense?:dunno:

Are you talking about PEX for radiant heating inside the slab or pex plumbing for domestic?

I've only ever heard of problems with the pex heating melting the wax ring. You can use non-wax rings. I put the pex heat tubes right up to the toilet plumbing.

Sorry, I was talking about pex in the slab....Is there any place it should not go under...The only thing I can think of is under Lift pillars on hoist. Anybody else? So under shower....around toilet is all good?

Thanks.
P.S. Everything is good in my mind, but when I try and get it out...well its like jibberish

People really optimize pex layout for residential applications especially. You would not want pex under your refrigerator, under your cabinets, or under any other permanent piece of furniture but in a shop you're not so worried about optimization. I even put the tubes under interior walls, just be sure to not drill through it with your redheads.

Thank-you high beam, Like I originally posted I was concerned with lines under Shower stall. I am trying to cram so much in one corner that it would almost be impossible to try and not go under it and make it the manifold due to location of "Utility room" and bathroom.

We install PEX under shower stalls and up the walls.

The wax ring thing is an old "significant other's" fable. No reason to get PEX that close to any toilet. We aim for the feet, about a foot in front of the rim. Good advice High.

Wouldn't it be great to have a warm toilet? A warm shower? The last toilet I replaced came with a wax ring that was quite dry so I took to it with a hair dryer so that it would be soft enough to properly stick and squirt out. I had to get that wax very hot before it would even think about changing forms.

I had a customer complain that her shower floor dried too quickly and it was hard to get soap residue off it because we had run a loop under it. I have no idea if she had a legit complaint or if she had even had a tile shower before so I took it pretty lightly.
