Running water line after the fact

I put up a 30x40 metal garage a couple of years ago. Unexpectedly this summer, I ended up drilling a second water well nearby, that will feed into a large cistern up the hill.

Trying to figure out the best way to run the water line. I will have a waterline into the pressure tank from the well, and another running from the tank up to the cistern. Is there a good way to protect the water line from freezing without having to drill into my concrete slab? Thanks!

If you don't get it into a heated space when above the frost line, you will be limited to using something like heat tape

I assume you absolutely have to cross over the driveway. Is that so?

As Mike just said, heat tape (and foam pipe insulation) will keep the pipe from freezing.

Thanks. In western WA. Don't often get long freezes, but just high enough in the hills that it does get cold sometimes.
