Running wire in pole building

I have seen a few suggestions on here and a few other places on the web, but nothing like what I plan on doing in my pole building.
What my plan is.....
I plan on putting rigid foam between the outside girts that the metal panels are attached to. My walls are 16' tall. I plan on putting vertical studs from floor to 8' above floor in between the poles. Fiberglass insulation inbetween the studs, and then some kind of wall covering. The rest of the wall (8' to ceiling) I plan on putting girts on just like the outside and metal as well with more fiberglass insulation. But that part will be done as $$$ allows. So for now I plan on just the lower section of wall.

My question is, can I drill thru the poles to run electric for outlets? My wires for lights were already run before the ceiling was closed up, I just have to put boxes in the ceiling then run the lights (plan on 4' LED shop lights on 3 circuits)
As for what kind of outlets, most will be traditional 12-2 15 amp outlets with maybe 2 per side of building (26'x38') with 20 amp outlets for my welder (only a 110v welder) one 50 amp outlet just below the elec panel for arc welder, and a 30 amp circuit for my air compressor.

You can run the wiring right on top of the original girts and route it behind the poles. No drilling necessary. Even on your added stud walls, just run the wire to each outlet from the top of the girt and back. Your foam insulation will sit on top of it with no problem.
I would suggest you put an outlet at least every 6'. Two outlets per wall is not going to be enough once you start filling it up and the outlets get blocked... Set them at least 4' off the floor and throw in some additional ones near your work bench.

You can drill holes through the posts. Contact the engineer to see how big your holes can be and their subsequent spacing.

I would suggest that you finish your insulation and interior wall coverings and then use EMT and surface mount all your wiring.

This way you can get the building done and buttoned up and then place your wiring wherever you want later without having to worry about drilling posts, girts etc and trying to anticipate your future plug placement now.
