I am planning to use rust bullet for my garage floor and want to paint the path through the garage, to the door entering the house in a different color. Could this be done using painters tape? I was worried about leakage on the edge and want a straight clean line.

I have seen a few pictures in the past. I searched, but can't seem to find them.

Any hints or suggestions?

Thank you

Im totally guessing, but I would think you could paint the stripes over the rust bullet? They do it all the time in our warehouse where I work.

Absolutely. Gray base coat followed by the 'lines' but you must go over the base

Im doing just that. Putting red 12" lines in a square pattern and then border around exterior walls . Im using the lines as a drive in guide to my lift and a parking area for my 56.

Justin just so I'm clear on this I would do my 2 coats of rust bullet let dry, tape off the lines ,scuff up line area with like 120 grit .Paint the lines, Let dry remove tape and then do the clear coat? Does that sound like the plan you recomend?

That would work... If it was me, I would be tempted to do it 18 hours in, paint my lines and pull tape quickly.... Avoid the sanding... But there is a risk. Red is a funny color. I have seen people have it look great with one coat and others need 2
