Many of you will remember the last update when they changed the formulation of their original product for even better performance on concrete. I just received word a couple of hours ago that the shipment I have coming in is their new clear top coat.

What Changed

Two things really. First they adjusted the blend to make it easier and more forgiving to install on horizontal surfaces.

They have pre-added the anti-skid.

I have not yet used the new formulation, but I certainly will once it arrives. I have no doubt as to the improvements in formulation, because they are amazing at that. What I want to see for my self is how aggressive the anti-skid is and how easy to clean it is.

Could this be good to use on bare concrete ?

Yes, however, it will not be as strong as the gray and we need to do more testing to determine how much prep should be done.

The manufacturer believes that this can go directly over typical concrete with no grinding. DO NOT try and put it on very smooth or power troweled concrete. That said they are not offering a warranty on clear over concrete at this time

Hey Justin I'm interested in doing my 20x22 (440 sq ft) garage floor with the base coat, 5lbs of 310 (Blue, white, gray, black) flake, and then try their new top coat. PM me what kind of deal you can do?

What prep would be involved with a power trowled floor? Trying to decide between this and epoxy with flake and clear coat.

Power Troweled floors often need some prep. Light acid wash, light grind, something to give the floor a little profile and let the first coat soak in. Legacy has a niche offering for power troweled floors that looks nice too
