Im thinking of doing my new construction house garage floor in rust Bullet with the White top coat added, my problem is how much do I need?

My floor is 660SQ' plus a little more for the curbing, I'll round it up to 700 sq ft, I figured Id need 4 Gal of grey and Two gallons of white.

I went onto the GarageflooringLLC web site and used their product estimate calculator, it shows for smooth or average concrete I need 4 gallons of grey and optional clear or color is an additional 2 gal which is what I had already figured in my head.

Every thing I read leads me to believe when coverage amounts are given it is for two coats, so when I read 1 gal covers 400 sq ft, I think that means it will do 400 sq ft twice, but yes on first coat it will cover less due to the porosity of the concrete.

I also read a post on their web sight showing a white floor and the person who did it said he had two coats of grey, and two coats of white. https://www.garageflooringllc.com/2016/03/31/awesome-white-rust-bullet-garage-floor/

Well I called garage floor LLC just to verify and I was told I need 4 gallons of grey ( I used 700 square feet for my floor) and also 4 gallons of white? which is twice the amount of white their calculator says I need, and twice what the floor on their sight had, I was told to hold on so she could double check and she confirmed yes I'll need two coats of the white so I need 4 gallons since the white is light trying to cover the dark grey, but two gallons should do two coats wont it? so this makes me think their saying I'll need four coats of white? this contradicts most of what I've read about the coverage of this product. no where does their calculator say for white you need to double it? But she positively said for 700 sq ft, I need four gal of grey and four gal of white.

So has any one done a white floor? how much product did you use and how many coats of white did you have to put down?

If I have to buy $800 in White and $480 in Grey I'm getting very close to just having a Pro come out and do a lifetime guarantee floor.

Before responding to your post, I wanted to go play with the calculator a little and see the results I got. Very similar to what you mentioned and technically correct. But I would go with 4 gallons of white. Actually if it was me I'd do two coats of white polyurea and one coat of clear :) https://www.garageflooringllc.com/polyurea-garage-floor-coating/

At this point I have done more white floors than I can count. Here is a recent white polyurea floor here is a white rust bullet floor with flake and here is one of our first all white rust bullet floors

My experience is that people who want a white floor want a WHITE floor. The concrete or gray underneath tends to dull the while and make it look dirty or murky. Thus we always suggest two coats of white.
