In reading thru the rust removal threads it sound like Molasses works incredible well as a chelating style of rust remover - just slow.

Does it matter if the Molasses is unsulpherized. (ex: super market grade Molasses) or does it need sulpher as an active ingredient (ex: agricultural feed grade Molasses)?

The feed store stuff works well and is pretty cheap. Just be sure to not overuse it. If after a couple of weeks you start to get mold on top, dump is down the drain and renew. Usually most things take 2 to 6 days in my experience.

Not sure what you mean by "overuse it", I generally get about a year of use out of my molasses mix. I use a dollar store strainer ladle to skim off any mold and it keeps on working. I usually mix about five parts water to one part molasses. Works like a charm.
