Why don't you just try using them and not worry about any rusting problems?

Is it possible that not everybody is able to handle their tool everyday like you?

Some people only get to do it on weekends....

Fluid film is good stuff for long term storage, but for protecting unplated tools, I just wipe them down with motor oil, and wipe off all the excess.
It doesn't leave them feeling oily, but it does protect them.

In New Mexico.....what's rust protection?

Steve

Beat me to it. :spit:

I'm in Arizona and I have never seen a hand tool that rusted indoors, not even the stuff my dad's had in his shop for 30+ years. Hell, even the underside of my 20 year old Bronco looks clean as a whistle. :bounce:

Living in the desert ***** sometimes, but it has its occasional perks too. :lol_hitti

I am a FLUID FILM dealer in Metro Seattle. Honestly I only stock the aeresol can, as that's what most want/buy. I will sell this to local GJ members for $8.00 per can ($CASH) local pick-up

Fluid Film is the world wide standard for corrosion control and equipment maintenance.
Its unique woolwax (lanolin) formula contains no solvents to evaporate. [most aeresol rust petroleum based products use a high percentage of solvent in their makeup. The solvent almost immediately flashes off and is gone]
Always active it will not become tacky, providing long lasting protection to all metals and superior lubrication to moving parts.

I'd rather have my tools rust than use fluid film, I sorry but that stuff smells DISGUSTING. I couldn't imagine having that stuff on my tools.

'Ya know, I never thought of this before, but I use a CRC Silicone spray lubricant on my Wilson reloading dies to prevent rust.....never thought of using it on my tools. Don't have any idea how long it would last though.

CamaroRus-Who handles that stuff in the Spokane area???
