I live on a bayou in the swamps of southeastern Louisiana, salt air rust tools big time, Remove rust with chemical rust remover, or [vinegar yeah it works] clean with W-D 40 and wipe down with Remington Gun Oil. Works good...I have no pegboard, and only one pair of pliers in my tool chest
