Thats the inside seat bracket bolt to a 1950 cadillac I have. Badly rusted floors. That was the last sucker holding the front seat in. Sockets, hammers, chisels, soaking in PB blaster needle nose vice clamps and its finally out! No access for an angle grinder and I didnt want to weld on a nut for fear of starting a fire. Thing is soaked.

Just bragging. Game on.

Thanks guys. Its a series 61 sedan. I think I'm going to make it a mild custom.... Going stock spec show quality is just too expensive. Id rather build it myself and enjoy it.

I like to call it 'out think the brick'
You showed that bolt whose BOSS!!!
Now that's it's gone onto the rest.
Enjoy the process. It's really satisfying.

Is that fan for blowing air up through the seats?

It was a really cool idea that came up back in those days and for some reason didn't really pan out until later years. That my friend is the 50s version of a heated seat!! Even had its own heater core and all. Really cool err hot idea for the day!!

The way its vented I dont think the idea was to heat the seat itself, but just vent hot air to the back front passenger feet area. Does have its own heater core but its probably leaky. I know the one under the dash leaks.

Come to think of it I think the one on the floor was everyone's heat and the one in the dash was the defroster
