Rusted ratcheting chain binders

I have alot of rusted ratcheting chain binders that need rehab. They are kept in an open section of my headache rack and have become rusted and I have to lube them before each use. Would the 50/50 atf/acetone work for this or is there a better solution? My main problem is that the direction lever is getting stuck and sometimes not fully engaging teeth when tighening. I used to use anti sieze on the threaded portions and probably will do it again unless someone has a better idea.

If you can hang them up, they tend to keep longer than in a pile. I use the aft/acetone, but unless you soak them, I don't know if it will help. Try 30 weight motor oil. Can you keep them somewhere in the truck?

I had one of these on my last truck and it kept everything nice and dry.

Soak them in vinegar for a day or two, hose them off then coat in your favorite oil.
