Rusting NewAge cabinets; Anyone had this issue?

Hello everyone, sorry I was away and just got back. So NewAge called me the day before I left and asked me how I would like to solve this situation. They also asked me to check the other cabinets for rust.

Today I checked the other cabinets and sadly its disappointing at what I found. The top wall cabinets (I have 3), had varying amounts of paint on the inside edges that are hidden from sight. One cabinet seemed perfect with no dark/metal showing, while the one next to it did show through the paint.

The rolling cabinets again, if you look at them without the drawers installed look well painted. But look on the inside lip that's hidden away, and where the lock mechanism is, and I'm seeing the same exact issue as the tall cabinets. Very little paint, and rust...Again, you can see how little paint there is on the areas hidden away from sight from these pictures.

I'm waiting to hear back from them, but have requested that if they decide to repair/replace the rusting cabinets, they need to honor the lifetime warranty for poor workmanship and the rust that has developed because of it. I'll keep you all posted.
Here are the pics of the rolling cabinets:

Sorry and to follow up to the person asking if they should wait to order NewAge cabinets.

Either take the risk and order, and then check on delivery if you see similar poor paint amounts, and refuse delivery.
Or see how this company has dealt with poor workmanship and strung me along for months, and make your judgement based on that.

I may have missed an update or two ,but what is the credit card company's response?
Credit card company is working on the chargeback. They have already put the funds on hold.
I am waiting for an official reply from NewAge before going ahead.

So NewAge's latest follow up is they will not issue a replacement for any of the rusted cabinets (less than a year old) or fix them, and have offered a measly sum. They are blaming my proximity to the sea, and still don't acknowledge that this is bad workmanship.

As for their lifetime warranty, they went on to say: rust due to regional climate elements is considered a cosmetic issue and is not covered in our warranty ...:ROFLMAO: So if you live in Florida or any other state that is humid, they will rust. Great product.

Can't help to warn everyone to stay away from NewAge if you're looking for cabinets (y)

I have 6’ of Bold and 29’ of Pro. The Bold is junk. I bought it only because it matched and I could have only 18” depth on that wall. My stuff is only 5 years old but no issues. Just ordered 2 of the 42” wide 5 drawer chests to replace 3 of my 28” wide chests. The wider ones will be better for organizing the tools in that set of chests.

I guess that's that, then. I live in humid GA. I have a car with body panels I put on it 15yr ago. It was never painted. Just the black base primer dynacorn puts in it to keep it from rusting on the boat ride over from asia. Somehow that car, which has been sitting outside this whole time, doesn't look worse than the inside of OP's cabinets after a couple months, sitting inside.

@NewAgeProducts Help needs to own this issue, rather than making excuses and passing the buck. However much money they saved by refusing to warranty OP's cabinets, this thread has already cost them at least twice that much.

Bump.

I wish I had stumbled upon this thread before ordering. Although I have Pro cabinets on order so hopefully it won't be an issue. I also live in a humid area that salts the roads in the winter. My Craftsman tool chest is rust free despite being in the garage nearby one of the cars for about seven years.

Did the CC company at least reimburse you for the defective cabinets?

The crazy part is that they keep referring to the warranty page that does not include the wording rust anywhere. This is what they keep referencing that would not be covered:

Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dings, dents or cracks in paint that do not affect the structural or
tunctional capability of the product.

I would understand if they said, hey there's a deep scratch from the user, and now rust has formed on that scratch. That would be user caused rust. However to me this looks like badly prepped or painted cabinets. It doesn't seem there's any primer and the paint is super thin in areas where you're not supposed to 'see'.
If rust is not covered then why did they send you replacement doors?.

you could make a "review video" and post it on youtube. send them the link.

It’s all being documented. Their warranty is complete nonsense, so better not consider it if you’re planning on purchasing their cabinets.

I'm curious where the cabinets were actually manufactured. The rust patterns might look like the raw steel was stored outside before manufacturing, but I'm no expert. In fact, the whole problem is strange for steel products bought new and stored inside.
