I just did this last week the instructions say to wait 24hrs before doing the clear coat. Make sure you have a lot of light in the garage as the clear is hard to see I missed a few spots because of low light. Floor looks good by the way.

I say prep per the instructions X 2. Then save yourself some time and money and make sure you use a base. The base coat is the second most important step IMO.

There's a reason these kits are $25 each.

:)

Can you back up that statement?
For what the majority of people at this site are using their garages for, what is the downside to using a Rustoleum kit versus spending thousands of dollars on your stuff??

Supercoat is reasonably priced, I don't know what the difference would be between it and Rustoleom.

You would have to do a really big area to get into "thousands of dollars" for our stuff!

:)

I speak with people on a weekly basis who are looking for a better alternative to re-coat their Rustoleum floor. I'm not trying to put them down. It's a fact.

SUPERCOAT runs about the same cost (when it's not being cleared out at $25 per kit!) and has been proven in independent tests to FAR exceed this product in performance.

What I really meant was that the hardware store was unloading those kits for a reason.

Yes, for those that don't know: Marden's is a surplus chain that sells lots from bankruptcies, overstocks, etc.
