RockSolid is a step up from your traditional box store epoxy kits such as Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield. We wrote an article about it here.

It's not a replacement for a good high solids epoxy, but it works well for as a typical DIY garage floor kit for garages that see light traffic. We do not recommend it for a fabrication shop.

thank you for that Shea...so I am going on the assumption now that my only option at this point is to stain and seal or just seal my concrete? all I want is to give it a nicer finish and allow for easy cleanup of fluids, while also not worrying about it getting damaged every time I drop something or do some welding/grinding/cutting that will throw hot molten metal on the floor

Shop floors that see heavy fabrication are generally not kind to coatings. Freshly cut metal pieces being dropped to the floor from fabrication tables, metal dragged across the floor, and hot slag from cutting torches will all mar the floor. It may remain easy to sweep up, but the nice finish will diminish quickly.

Densifiers, penetrating sealers, and stain guards are usually the better way to go. They will help to protect the concrete, make sweeping easier, and increase the strength of the surface as well, depending on which type of product is used. We have an article talking about sealers for shop floors which you can read here.
