Anything look interesting?
The adjustable DOE obstruction wrench in the lower right hand corner is quite uncommon. Looks to be an 1868 Baxter patent (84,605). It is essentially a DOE obstruction wrench made in two halves split down the middle of the shank and it has a worm gear in the middle and a reciprocating screw that opens and closes both sides of the wrench like machinists parallels, thereby opening and closing the ends. I have one, shown in this thread linked
here. It's not worth $100 on its own, and it's hard to put a value on the farm implement wrenches or the monkey wrenches, but if you really wanted that wrench, and maybe a few others, and you thought you could re-sell the ones you didn't want. Not trying to talk you into it. Just saying, I don't think you'd lose your shirt, either. But yeah, you could also try to talk him down.
I'm trying to find a photo of mine by itself, but here it is with other wrenches. Front left of center.
The one in the lot appears to be very small, which makes it more uncommon.
