I'm about ready to fill my PEX in floor heat tubes and I'm using a 40 gallon electric hot water heater. I've got 20 gallons of RV Antifreeze and i was going to add 20 gallons of water aka 50/50 mix.
But then i thought of using the "green" automotive type antifreeze cuz its cheaper, will it be compatible with the PEX tubes and heat pump etc.?????
I was thinking since i think the only reason for using the RV antifreeze is because of environmental reasons? Since this is a closed sealed system why not use the green auto stuff?
