But, catching a show called "A Sweet Sickness: A Flathead Story" about the famous Ford V8 and here comes Ryan.

I looked for a thread on this and I apologize for bringing up a 2011 movie, but I didn't use the right search words or something.

There's a link to "Atomic Hot Rods dot com" but they are in NY. Probably a lot more on H.A.M.B.

If you didn't see it yet, if you have Prime, it's there. I learned a LOT!

the actual title is: A Sweet Sickness: The Flathead Movie

looks similar to the shake, rattle, and roll videos...

Many thanks Zeke. I didn't know about the movie and I'm a Prime member so it's now on my watchlist.

You'd think with the level of detail Amazon and Google have obtained about me to this point, Amazon would have already recommended this movie.

Nope. Instead they recommend cr@p I wouldn't watch unless tied to a chair with my eyes propped open.

I did not know about this movie. I will have to watch it in the near future.
I have had flathead V8s for nearly 55 years. I installed a supercharged and fuel injected C69A in my 1940 Ford. My Flattie has been modified for full flow oil filtering.
This engine was powering a fire pump at a sawmill near here. The Logbook shows less than 20 hours of run time for the annual checks. This engine never pumped water for a fire.
I have had two more of these engines in storage for about nearly 20 years now. One of these engines is out of a Mercury.
On the off-chance someone notices, the wheels are BBS super light weight alloys.

Thanks, Zeke. I'll be watching it later tonight if the amoxicillin doesn't zonk me out.

BTW, I must have missed something, what's the thing about Ryan? Is he a member that is in the movie?

The Prime I refer to is Amazon Prime.

Good, then I can watch it. I just searched for it on Amazon (using flathead as the search term) and a few other interesting things turned up, if you're into vintage hot rods: Hop Up TV and This is Long Beach.

Yeah, I watched the Long Beach thing since I live here. Nothing to do with Long Beach. Never even heard of that car club.

BTW, and I haven't watched it, but I saw a listing for a SEMA report/show that said Ryan was part of the show. That came up while I was searching the net for the name of the flathead movie I watched using Ryan's full name (which is credited several times in the flathead movie, so I guess it's no secret).

Anyone here spend time over on H.A.M.B.? Maybe the movie is discussed.
