Ryobi 10" Sliding saw not completing cut

I bought a Ryobi 10" Sliding Miter saw last Christmas and finally got a chance to use it. I was cutting trim so I swapped the stock blade with a fine finish blade. It works great except it does not quite complete the cut. It leaves about a 16th of an inch on the bottom uncut so when you are done the wood splits or splinters a bit. Is there a way to adjust this as I can see anything that might be adjustable for solving the issue. Just curious if anyone had any similar experiences or has a fix. Way too late to return the saw so need to find a possible solution.

A lot of saws have a depth stop I would start by making sure yours is not set which is keeping your saw from completing the cut

Neighbor had this exact issue on his Ryobi a couple months back. Not sure if you have the same model but there should be a depth stop screw under the motor. When the saw is in it's up position you should be able to see it. Just back it out some and that will let the blade go lower. Should also be covered in the owners manual (neighbors was so I showed him after I adjusted it) if you still have it or you can get one on line.

I finally found it in the manual and I will try it next time I get the saw out. Thanks for the help.

Depth stop will do this, also the slides getting debris on them and not letting it complete the stroke.

Clean and check all stops.
