Super hot deal.
In store only.
For the free tools get any brushless that is $129.** or less.
Make sure they or you scan the 3pc first and the other 2 will ring up as free.
Just bought this with the brushless recip and jig saws as free.

Also mine was in stock, but they just moved it high up.
A manager spent some time finding them.
They were just moved overnight.
So if you are at a store where they show in stock, but can't find them get a person with a clue to help you get them

Thanks for this! I have all Milwaukee stuff but bought this along with the free sawsall and free grinder. Gave them to my future son in law. There was no signage about this deal in the store. I got there before the self checkout was opened and was afraid it wouldn’t work. But it worked fine. Heck of a deal!

I purchased 4 sets and returned free items on two of them to drive cost down. This will make excellent gifts for father in law and son this year.

Website shows lots in stock locally for me, but lists price at $259. Is the in-store price cheaper, or is this deal dead?

You just bought the set, or did you get your 2 free tools with it? I'm wondering if of the deal ended yesterday, or will still be going on today. Found a HD that has the kit & the compressor, but is 1 hour total out of my way.

I just bought the set and two free brushless tools. But it didn’t work for the wet/vac. But that’s not brushless.

Thanks. I might take the gamble and drive out. When I bought the kit 3 weeks ago @ $199, I bought the jigsaw & vacuum. Both were discounted. Now hoping more to purchase for gifts now. Price works out to around 50% or more off

Were you able to get two tools for free as well?

Yes, got the two free tools as well with the $159 kit. As OP stated, 3 piece kits were up in the rafters, and the cashier almost called the manager over when the tools popped up for free.

I was not the first person on the deal at my store. The rolling ladder was parked under the 3 piece kits in the rafter, and while I was waiting for employee to grab my kit, a gentleman showed up looking for same deal, with a list of part numbers and a picture showing which tools were included in the “free” selection. He said he heard about the deal on a Ryobi Facebook group, and has been going to all the area stores, jumping on the deal. He told me buys the most expensive free tools , and then later returns them at a pro-rated amount (he said about 50% of sticker) which then offsets the $159 three piece kit to a couple of dollars.

Thanks OP! That is a killer deal. Got the last kit from the clearance area, and the brushless belt sander and angle grinder. Forgot I had a $10 off $100 coupon at home, doh!

I found that if your local store is showing $259 online, but has stock in store, once you add it to your cart it will indeed show the $159 price.

As far as I can tell, ALL stores that have stock are priced at $159.

That's a super great deal. I think I will go and see if my local store has any left. I am in Makita, but have a couple Ryobi tools. Nothing wrong with being on 2 platforms -- more flexibility that way.

Thanks you OP. It took the employees 45 min to find everything but deal worked in California. They were all confused why it was up in the upper racks.

Anybody know for sure when this ends? I bought 1 kit and 2 free tools yesterday. I am thinking I may go back tomorrow or Tuesday if it’s still going on. I can’t get there today. I should have bought two kits yesterday. I don’t want to flip them. I gave the first set away to someone who had no tools. I will keep the next set if I get one

I just picked up a set with the jigsaw and reciprocating saw.... The guy that helped me find the saw mentioned something about a website that has this promo going and HD is matching it I guess. Thanks OP.

***** these free base kits all come with the useless drill. I mean how many cordless drills does a household need over the past 3 decades.

If anyone in the DFW area wants to sell a free tool ill buy the grinder off them.

Thanks for posting, plan on picking up this deal tomorrow. Can anybody confirm if the wet/dry is valid for a free tool? Seems someone in this thread said it was, but another saying it didn't work.

The Wet Dry Vac is included, so is the 1/2" impact.

My local HD is still showing the 3 pieces for $159. I just don’t know if you can still get the 2 additional tools free.

Yeah, deal is dead. I just tried. 3pc kit is still $159, but no free tools. Even went to customer service to ask about it, but they had no idea about it

I got a couple kits before this died to fill out some missing pieces in my previously 100% milwaukee collection. I used the brushless jigsaw yesterday and I gotta say it's got awesome power and I'm going to start considering ryobi for more stuff now. Any of their $129 price level brushless tools should be pretty great (sawzall, jigsaw, 4.5" grinder, 7 1/4" circular saw).

Some helpful ryobi info I learned from another thread, ryobi batteries have multiple generations, and the latest generation is called "HP" and consists of the new 3/6/9Ah batteries (this does NOT include the 4Ah). These HP batteries have two extra electrical terminals on the back of the post and when used with any tools also having these terminals (newer brushless tools basically, I think) you will unlock more power. So the 3Ah in the kit is special but if you got the 4Ah 2-pack as a freebie those might actually be weaker in some tools.
