Ryobi 40v trimmer and blower $159 thru 8/27

Not a smoking hot deal but a decent deal none-the-less. On sale from $229. Good for anyone wanting to up gauge from 18v to 40v. It's basically the same price as the 18v versions.

Crud. i just bought the 18V ones 3 weeks ago. The 18V trimmer works well, 1 full battery gets me easily through my personal lawn. 18V blower is a bit weak, good for sweeping up stuff on concrete, but not really powerful enough to be effective for stuff in the grass.

I'd love to trade them in for 40V, but now they're well used already. :/

They come with a 90 day satisfaction guarantee, printed right on the box. You're not happy with them. Return and purchase the 40v.

I just picked up an 18v trimmer today for $10 off CL and bought the "hybrid" 18v/120v blower for $99 with a battery new in store. I also have the 18g nail gun I picked up off CL for $70, pretty much the only reason I bought the 18v set.

I knew going into it that the 18v tools aren't the most powerful, but for me they get the job done. An electric trimmer probably won't edge very well even the 40v ones, and the blowers are all weak compared to a gas one.
