I'm looking for ideas on a replacement thickness knob, Ryobi calls it the "Handle Assembly" part number 089170101800. This part has been discontinued and all of the online sources say the same thing. I'm thinking about making a new one, but if someone else has had this problem I would love to see how this was accomplished. The shaft has two flat surfaces on it that measure 3/8". For now I'm using a 3/8 wrench to adjust the thickness. If I where to make it out of wood I'm pretty sure it would not hold up, I'm thinking metal is the way to go.
