2 somewhat unexcitng deals this year

RYOBI ONE+ 18V Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah Battery (2-Pack) and Charger Kit for $99

Looks like 15 choices for a free tool with that one.
The one handed pruning saw is tempting.

Deal 2

Ryobi ONE+ 18V Lithium-Ion HIGH PERFORMANCE Starter Kit with 2.0 Ah Battery, 4.0 Ah Battery, 6.0 Ah Battery, Charger, and Bag $199

And you get 16, mostly brushless tools to chose from with this deal

Would be a nicer deal if they got rid of the 2.0 batt and lowered the price a bit.

When is this supposed to happen?
starts tomorrow in store. whether it get up is another story. Some stores have it up, with sheets over the promo that will be taken down tomorrow. Others are still waiting on their TTI rep to setup, but will be live tomorrow one way or the other

It is live on the website now, if you don't care about buying in-store.

HACK NOT CERTAIN.
Read gamp945's post below

Doing some reading @ SD there is a "hack" available for this if needed, but it is a new method.

Select ship to store for both products, but pick 2 different stores.
One for the batts and one for the tools.
Then only pick up the item you want and 7 days later you will get a credit for the other item.

In the past, as long the items aren't being shipped together, you had the ability to cancel individual items from store pickup, even if at the same store. No need to wait the 7 days for cancellation

Apparently the trick of splitting the order into ship-to-home and ship-to-store and then cancelling one of the two is no longer working. The new trick is to ship to 2 different stores.

But I've read that some stores will charge you for the item even if you don't pick it up after 7 days. So for some "hackers", the trick will be on you.

All I wanted was the weed eater and edger, sold out. How does Ryobi Days work? They are on sale for the whole time or each day is a different tool?

Ship to home is still works for the trimmers,

I just order both, the $99 battery was available to be picked up almost instantly, I selected the fogger and that won't be arriving until Jun 7 WTF.

The $199 order both are out of stock locally, I opted for the circular saw ryobi one+ ... one is shipping via ups from GA, the other is shipping via FedEx from some mid west state.... both arriving tomorrow... WTF.

Have no clue how they work. but hey unless they are like lowes that will screw me on their 40V trimmer after months of waiting , I am ok with it waiting for it to be shipped. just weird that some items are arriving earlier than others.

I think It is just when you buy a battery you get one free "tools only" tool out of the selections they have in the list.. No other hocus pocus. Unless you are doing that jedi return trick just to get the battery at a discount.

Doesn't even give me the option to ship to home, just says out of stock. I was trying to get this one:

I have the following in my checkout:
RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Inflator/Deflator and 18G ONE+ 18V Brad Nailer (Tools Only)
RYOBI ONE+ 18V 6-Port Dual Chemistry IntelliPort SUPERCHARGER with USB Port
RYOBI 40V Lithium-Ion 3-Port Charger
RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless 3-Speed 1/4 in. Hex Impact Driver (Tool Only)
RYOBI ONE+ 18V Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah Battery (2-Pack) and Charger Kit

Edit: Added the weed eater and then edger attachment. Total is $715. Thought it was Ryobi Days?

not every tools is included. the 6-port and the brad nailer are for sure aren't part of it. Nor are 40v tools. All the tools available are selectable when you open one of the links in the OP.

Well that makes sense. I have One+ tools from 10 years ago back when they were blue, word the battery from that still work on these tools or should I just get a hold new set?

That is one of the strongest selling features of the Ryobi 18v lineup. They have never changed the connection. So you can use new Li-Ion batteries in your old tools just fine. While not unheard of, I cant imagine if you still have batteries from them that they are producing much chooch.

They've been rarely used, but still kicking.

My old “blue” tools get rejuvenated and gain power/torque with new 18V lithium power compared to the old NiCad.

Unless you are "hacking" this deal, batteries are part of it.

If anyone is in upstate SC TTi is having the factory sale this Friday and Saturday. Ryobi, Ridgid, Hart, Hoover and Dirt Devil brands. The DTO store at this location has Milwaukee too but they don't list it as part of this sale. I think this address is one of the headquarters buildings. I'm probably going to check it out after work in the morning.
