it looks like that kit has the smaller batteries and not the 4ah batteries.

I just bought the impact wrench bare tool, as I have the drill with the smaller batteries.

The impact will NOT even take off a lug at 80lbs torqued so it went back.

I am still "shopping" for another impact

I picked up the 1/4" and it works just fine for small things (ie not needing lots of torque)

I have the 1.2" P261 for the impact gun and it works on everything ive tried on it. Itll take my lug nuts off that are torqued to 100ft-lbs.

However going on the pics in the OP's link those are "last years" model. TH enew ones have three led lights that turn on when you pull the trigger. I believe the p261 has has a bit more power to it if i remember right

not super cheap, but I've had a series of bosch 1/2" impact guns that I use at the track. I torque to 80 ftpounds, and they've all been good for removing wheels. The most recent is a li-ion one ( Bosch 24618 ).

I think you have to try that impact with the full size 4 amp hour batteries, among the best batteries on the market for any cordless tools you can buy. It should do well over 100 ft lbs with ease. Something wrong with your old batteries maybe? - Paul, Ryobi afficianado

I'll agree with Paul here. Something's amiss. I've got the older 1/2" p260 impact wrench. it will spin off my 80 ft lbs lug nuts with 4-5 hits before it spins. I'll use the 1.3 and the 4mah batteries with it.

As of the OP, that combo is new to me. I haven't seen a 1/4" impact driver and a 1/2" impact wrench sold together before.

I'm interested in that kit as well, although at $159 isn't looking like a good enough deal

Yeah my P261 impact wrench w/4Ah battery has no problem taking off lug nuts torqued a little past 100 lb ft.

Only real complaint I have about it (for the money) is that oddly the 1/2" anvil seems a little undersized, more play to the socket connection than I'm used to on other tools. It's not the sockets or extensions themselves, though I've never gotten around to measuring the anvil as my caliper (and/or my eyesight) isn't high enough precision to give an accurate reading more than maybe +/- 0.35mm, and I'd guess it's closer to 0.2mm undersized.

Edit: I don't mean that it's 0.2mm smaller than 1/2", rather that it's 0.2mm smaller than the right undersized-mate for 1/2", that it should be 0.2mm larger to be right.

I ended up making a shim out of a piece of thin stainless steel sheet that I wedge in to get rid of play when doing something that might need that last little bit of torque. I *almost* returned it when it was new due to this, but it doesn't look misshapen or anything, like maybe they're all like that and yet I haven't noticed anyone else mentioning it.

damn I really need to start looking at dates!

Heh, me too considering which forum it's in but as long as people are still reading it, does it matter what the date was if the conversation drifted? Info about the impact wrench is still relevant so long as it's being sold.

Yeah I think the "ultimate combo kit" is a better deal especially at $199 which it sometimes is listed at.

You get the impact driver, drill, sawzall, circular saw, multi-tool, lantern, bag, batteries/charger.
