Ryobi Warranty

I bought Dad an inflator and separate battery/charger from Home Depot. It makes grinding noises and doesn't work.

The serial on the tool is legible. I dont know if I have the receipt anywhere. I do have the CC statement from 2yrs and a few.months ago. Have you had any success getting stuff replaced by HD or Ryobi without receipt?

The documents on Ryobi's site don't call out internal parts.

Went through the hoops w/ Ryobi on a 40 volt weed whacker. They wanted me to drop it at Homies Depot and ask them to ship it to some guy that inspects & repairs. This was after four phone calls. Got teed off and fixed it myself. Next is the wrench and limp mode that pops up on my Ecoboost F150 but doesn't throw a code.
