S & H bent nose slip joint pliers

What are these pliers used for?

S & H Co. 125. I think Smith and Hemenway who got acquired by Crescent (Alloy Artifacts). I am thinking hose pliers but what do you think. Thanks.

I have a similar/same pair in my box. Don't think they have a specific purpose, I use mine where access is limited.

EDIT: I just checked the Knipex website. Knipex manufactures a pair two models of pliers, both have slim jaws with a rounded toothed gripping surface similar to your pliers. While the pliers aren't a slip-joint design, one model does have an offset angled head like yours. Knipex calls them "Cycle Pliers," "for very narrow screw connections" The model is 84 21 200.
