Just got the 21 pc suregrip screwdriver set which seems pretty nice compared to the mishmash of worn out rounded off ones I had before. How well do they hold up compared to some of the other brands?

I cant comment but I would really like to know myself.

What I would really like to know is where they are made, and if there are any manufacturing defects.

Thanks
Jim

Jim, not sure if they are made here or overseas but there are no defects that I can see. Several of them have hex flats on the shank so that you can use a wrench for extra torque, something I haven't seen before. I have used a couple of the #2 phillips & one of the tiny ones to replace the battery in my digital caliper, they both fit the screw firmly & neither one felt like they were going to cam out. Just one time of not having to put up with the aggravation of using a junk tool makes it worth the money spent.

I dont know about these screwdrivers but I bought a set of mac screwdrivers that are the John Force limited edition for lack of a better description. I have bent two of them and the mac guy tells me he cant replace them, he can only give me regular MAC screwdrivers so the handles wont match anymore. I am not that vain to G A S but if you are the type make sure they are the regular issue and not a limited run.

I've noticed SK marks thier tools USA if they are made here and on thier tools that are imported there is no country of origin on the tool.

I think Craftsman does the same thing ... if it's not marked made in USA, it's not made here ...
