Or if its worth anything? I dont really need another set of 1/2” dr sae 12 point sockets. Im sure an SK collector would rather them. Couple pics of two of the set. 9f3f5ac8608ffda975e4a55ae99dd9d7.jpg

Probably 1950s-60s era prior to SK Wayne. I think it was after SK Wayne that they did away with the knurling entirely.

Its pretty deep knurling. I love how the top of the socket tapers.

There is a lot of those for sale and not really getting any traction, right now on a facebook page for SK tool traders some body has a bunch of NOS ones for sale with not many showing interest

I may just toss them in the ultrasonic cleaner and give them to my daughter.

Go over to alloy artifacts on the web. I would guess '58-'63.

As pretty as current sockets are, none have the interesting details of them.

My guess would be from the 1950's. I think in the 1960's SK sockets looked much the way they do today.

How many sizes do you have that end in 32nds? Those sizes are definitely old school.

I have no idea as to value. I'm sure someone collects old SK i just don't know of anyone.

My Father bought that set in Medicine Hat on December 12, 1945. I have the set.
I use ultrasonic for parts cleaning. Old sockets and tools clean up nicely.

Looks like the set I got for Christmas in 1966.

The ratchet says SK Wayne, but I think the sovkats are just marked
SK.

They are 2500 miles away, though.

Looks just like the set I got for my 15th birthday in 1965 still have most of it the ratchet still is my go to ratchet, the breaker bar has a square hole so it can be used as an extension, the 3”and 6” extensions and a couple of sockets are missing

This is cool because I have 2 full sets like these in my toolbox now. I was thinking they where old but I didn't think they where from the 50s or 60s this makes me like them a little more but I think they are some of the most cool and satisfying to look at 1/2 sockets I own.

i bought a set in '66. They look pretty much like what is being sold today, so I'd say they are prior to that.
