I have a Snap On AT500A 1/2" Impact that still functions (but I have no idea to what level)

I called the S.O. repair depot and they no longer overhaul this gun

Being a amatuer mechanic I use impacts very seldom. FYI, I also recently acquired a S.O. 3/8" MG31 which I suspect will become my "weapon of choice" into the future.

I also have an obsolete C734 1/2" Gun and trying to decide which of these old 1/2" Guns to keep and which to try and sell for ??$$

Thanks for your patience and education

Mr Shaun, Thanks much for pasting up parts list..............

Gun still functions and needs no parts at present time, other than new cosmetic boot.

Do you see many of these guns still being used ?? or are they just rare to even find in use???

Thanks,

Ive always wondered what the deal was with these. Ive got a bluepoint at555a (i think thats it anyways) and have never been able to find out any info on it as far a torque specs go etc, but it works great, just a bit heavy. I just bought a mg31/mg325 too if its comparable in power I think im gonna do some trading in with the bluepoint 1/2" due to size.

I have the same gun and paid $75 for a full rebuild. Super strong gun and well built.

Here's the repair and parts page from SO that also includes all the specs - http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/parts/pro_det.asp?Item_id=52930&group_ID=12165

OP - might want to PM chad on this site since he is a SO dealer and he might be able to provide some advice on that specific AT500A gun.
