Do you get the same oops, now I am in fixed mode, but I was in wobble mode issues?

:headscrat

Never had that issue, more like, "oops the socket got snagged on the way out". I wish Snap-on offered locking wobble in 1/4", would buy in heartbeat.

I prefer the Wobble+ (fully inserted) over the regular extensions for regular use. If I need wobble I bust out the swivels.

I have straight, wobble and wobble + in aLL sizes from SO. I could not stand the 1/4 wobble + ones. Gave them back to my dealer. The weight of any deep socket would cause it to fall right off the extension with just a slight bump. I'm a snap on *****, but I hate their 1/4 wobble plus extensions.

+20 something. I've Had 1/4 and 3/8 wobble plus for quite a while now and I'm very happy with them. I would say they are very well made extension that can take a little getting use to. You can def see the difference in quality compared to a HF or craftsman extension. They feel much more solid in the hand very little give or flex even in the 1/4 drive.

On a Bogo deal ID say they are worth it. Otherwise they are kind of a want more than a need if you catch my drift.

I have SO wobbles and wobble plus, Powerbuilt (3/8 wobble), Popular Mechanics (3/8 wobble plus), and HF (wobble). I don't care for the wobble plus feature as others have mentioned, both my SO and Popular Mechanics ones are left in my emergency road kit. The Powerbuilts have held up very well over the years but the location of the knurling *****. Haven't had the HF ones very long but so far so good. The SO wobbles I like but I don't see them as being anything superior to some of the other brands out there.

Wow! This is a great thread.

Just two weeks ago I almost purchased the Snap-on wobble plus extensions. I was playing with with them on the truck and thought they were totally awesome. After reading the "real world" feedback from the guys who have not been happy with them, however, I am glad that I decided to spend more time thinking about it. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond in this thread.

Agree. Thanks guys for helping me out. So what I'm getting is:
-the "plus" feature isn't that great. (maybe makes sense for a dealer tech in a hurry, but for most, nah)
-Koken makes a better "plus" version anyway.
-The S.O. wobbles aren't significantly better than others, especially for the absurd price.

Thanks guys, and I'll be passing on the deal. (especially when I'm finding either of those ratchets can be had in ebay for $50)

You can always buy one and see if it works for you in an actual working situation. :dunno: You might be surprised.
