Retired now and spending more time in the garage. Thinking of having the floor professionally done. Typical 2 car with area for workbench, washer, dryer, hot water, heater etc.. I like to work on mechanical things.

The current home was built in 1979, the floor has a few cracks I have filled over the years with sealers and painted over with flooring paint. About 10 years ago I used a torch and razor blade to scrape up the many coats over the years and put just one back down. It is time again to do something. Caveats: when the car pulls in and drips after a rain storm here the water puddles in different areas so I doubt if I can put a deck down for fear of mold under it. Thinking of a finish that is aseteic but that does not tire lift like paint does. One fellow's garage I saw once was black with flake. Looked great but he said, "I'll never do it again - you should try to find a washer or screw when you drop it on all those spots... ." So I am thinking I'd like something that doesn't hide things when they are dropped.

Anyone have any ideas what might be the best process and if they know any "A" quality contractors in this area that do that sort of thing? This area is Sacramento on the Roseville - Citrus Heights side.
