First post, enjoy the informative info. on this site.
Now for my question. I'm in the process of rebuilding a Quincy 325 with a Manchester 80 gallon tank. There was a oil leak which looked to be behind the flywheel, so will run to find leak, repair, then off to paint. I did notice that one bolt was loose on the intercooler or a possible leaking seal. Any other thoughts on this leak?
Next question. I had torn down and rebuilt an exmark mower. Decided to have all front end parts & mower deck powder coated. Through the abuse of using this mower notice that the problem of rust is pretty much eliminated compared to the beforehand clean and prime when a scratch occurred. So when it comes time to tear down the compressor was probably going to do the same on the tank, inside and out. But before I do that was questioning why not braze a grounding strap inside the tank and attach a sacrificial anode. Any thoughts on this?

The anode works in a water heater because it is full of water to complete the circuit for electrolytic action. You should be draining your compressor tank so there wouldn't be any water for electrolytic activity.
