Safe prep for basement floor?

I have about 280 sq ft of space for my basement workshop. The walls are drywalled and painted, but the floor is bare concrete. I'd like to do an epoxy coating - possibly Rustoleum - but I'm afraid that I won't be able to do the acid etch or grinding that is required. How good are the Benjamin Moore / Sherwin Williams "floor paint" products? What else should I be investigating?

Thanks, GJ!

Mike:

Regarding the prep, do it right or be sorry.
You need to use a grinder with a vac attachment to mitigate the dust.

Basements are notorious for moisture issues, do a moisture test before you do anything.
